About the Project
In a series of surreal transformations, a woman confronts her deepest fears and traumas, emerging from the shadows to reclaim her power.
“Her” is a surreal AI-generated short film that explores fear, trauma, and the silent resistance of a woman reclaiming her inner power. Blending hyperreal 3D imagery with painterly illustration, the film unfolds as a psychological metamorphosis—where mythic symbols and dream logic reflect a deeper struggle for selfhood and survival. At its core, “Her” echoes with themes of female consciousness and the emotional architecture of confinement, resilience, and becoming. The film was created using AI tools throughout: Midjourney for visual ideation, a custom-trained LoRA model in Stable Diffusion for style cohesion, and animated sequences generated with Runway and Kling. Final editing and sound design were completed in CapCut. By integrating machine intelligence with intimate storytelling, “Her” interrogates not only aesthetic form but also the boundaries of identity, memory, and the feminine will to endure.
AI Tools & Workflow
AI was used at every stage of the film. We began by using Midjourney to generate initial concept images, with prompts refined through ChatGPT and DeepSeek to achieve more precise visual direction. These images were then imported into Stable Diffusion, where we trained a custom LoRA model to maintain stylistic consistency and generate keyframes. The video generation was carried out simultaneously using Runway’s Gen-3 and Gen-4 models and Kling, allowing us to experiment with different styles and motion dynamics. Some sound effects were also generated using AI tools in CapCut, where the final film was edited and assembled.
